The Red Lion at Pendoylan was acquired by current owners Mike Henderson, Lloyd James, Dave Edgecombe and Wales and British Lions rugby star Matthew Rees in July 2011. Since then, the property has undergone a complete refurbishment, returning this famous Vale of Glamorgan establishment to its original layout comprising a welcoming bar and a warm uniquely atmospheric 150 seat restaurant spread over two floors.

General Manager Waheed Ramadan oversees a young and enthusiastic staff team who are determined to make every visit to the Red Lion a memorable one.

A state of the art kitchen offers an amazing array of dishes all devised and expertly cooked by award winning head chef Andy Aston and his team of soux and pastry chefs. Andy was previously head chef at the highly acclaimed Littleton Arms in Staffordshire before relocating to South Wales to head up the culinary team at the Red Lion.

 
     
 

The superb food offering is complemented by a range of fine wines from continental Europe, North and South America and the new world as well as traditional ales, ciders and continental lagers.
